Discover the refined blend and masterful craftsmanship of Ambreus Oude Geuze, a unique blend of three different lambics, aged in Italian and French oak barrels. At Ambreus, we source our wort from the renowned breweries DenHerberg, Lindemans, and DeTroch, with each lambic aging separately in oak barrels to develop its own unique character.
After the initial barrel aging, we select 1, 2, and 3-year-old lambics from each batch to create a harmonious and fruity flavor profile. This carefully composed blend is then bottled and undergoes a natural secondary fermentation in the bottle, resulting in a refined Oude Geuze ready to be enjoyed.
The name “Ambreus” is a fusion of “Ambrosia” and “Geus”. Ambrosia, the divine food and drink of the Greek gods, and Geus, an old spelling of geuze from the 17th and 18th centuries, together symbolize a timeless and divine drinking experience.
